Baseball Baby Shower

It was a fun time celebrating Baby Callahan and meeting new people! We sure miss our friend Randi now that she’s in the metroplex, but we got her back in town to celebrate baby C!

A friend of Randi’s (and now a new friend of mine!) made this incredible fabric/ribbon garland! I LOVE it & I’m looking for a reason to make my own!

The pictures on the mantle were borrowed from a friend (they are decoration from her son’s room..adorable!). And of course a lot of baseballs in an apothecary were a great touch! They weren’t fresh and clean either, seriously used baseballs!

Another hostess shared her love of flowers by creating a few different flower arrangements. Sometimes baby boy showers can seem a less fun decorating, but when you can combine feminine touches for the momma, it always pulls together nicely!

We had a few different “stations”. This was 1 of 2 (it was a large shower so we were looking to make sure we didn’t have lines or have ladies skipping out on the fun) diaper message areas. The baseball decor was from the same friend who has a baseball room bedroom for her little boy.

The next picture was the second diaper message area, as well as where the “sign in” was which was actually made up of envelopes for each guest to write themselves an addressed envelope for thank you cards!

THE FOOD! Breakfast/brunch items were served as it was a morning shower! We also served breakfast drinks & some of the momma-to-be’s favorite drinks! Mason jars and milk glasses with red/white chevron adorned the vintage crates (borrowed).Image

I skipped the popular food labels and opted for making flags with baseballs on them. We know what those food items are because we know how to EAT 🙂 That would be BULLETIN BOARD paper as the backdrop. Thank you Mardel for having a paper that didn’t LOOK like it belong in a classroom. Loved it and it was the perfect piece to cut off everyone seeing the food/drinks and decor piling up in my kitchen. I love having an open kitchen so I can see my kiddos while I’m working in their, but when I’m having a party/shower and I can see into my kitchen (with everyone else) all I see is CLUTTER. Drives me nuts! Bulletin board paper=problem solved…er clutter hidden?!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand the beautiful momma-to-be!!! The front door hanger is, again, from the friend who let us borrow all things boy and baseball! i bet her boy’s room seemed a little vacant!

The gifts table included a little wagon for books that the guests were prompted (in their invite) to bring in place of a card! Their was a sticker included to write their name and a message for baby to be placed in the book. How treasured those will be for this family!
